We all need a break from the recent relentless rain, and what better way than to enjoy some great folk music from around the world presented by the San Luis Obispo Vocal Arts Ensemble.

Well, you get two chances: the first Folk Music of the World concert happens on Thursday evening, March 16, at Trilogy Monarch Dunes in Nipomo; the second is Sunday afternoon, March 19, at the Cuesta College Cultural and Performing Arts Center.

Attendees will be treated to a global musical tour encompassing Spain, Japan, New Zealand, and Israel, finally returning to America.

“We all know the popularity of American folk music, but this unique show will feature the iconic genre with creative, wonderful music from around the world,” according to Vocal Arts Ensemble Executive Director Kate Albert (Stulberg).
