THEY GATHERED IN THE BIOLUMINESCENCE
OF THE FIREFLIES UNTIL THEY TOO
BECAME THE SUMMER NIGHT SKY
—from “Bioluminescence” by Diana Sudyka

Everything comingling as if the air we breathe
The earth we stand on the water bodies
We share on this blue planet spinning around
And around the sun and the sun spinning
In our solar system in the Milky Way
The Milky Way spinning in the Universe expanding
Light and dark becoming the building blocks of
This expansion Now and Forever world without end
