Thousands of vinyl records and CDs will be available for purchase as KCBX Public Radio hosts a Parking Lot Music Sale on Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4100 Vachell Lane in San Luis Obispo.

Used books and music equipment, art, and vintage KCBX and Live Oak Music Festival merchandise also will be included in the sale. All proceeds support KCBX and KCPR, the student-run radio station at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Curated by Neal Losey, KCBX music director and host of “The Morning Cup,” the sale includes items covering nearly every genre of music, including some that are highly collectible. Pricing starts at just one dollar, and bulk discounts will be available, including $5 grab bags filled with dozens of CDs.

“It’s been two years since our last Parking Lot Sale, so we have a ton of music to sort through and organize over the coming weeks,” according to Losey, who spends countless hours organizing music ahead of sale day. “I’m looking forward to digging in there and seeing what treasures are yet to be found.”
