Promotores Collaborative of San Luis Obispo County presents Celebrando Nuestros Antepasados (Honoring Our Ancestors), a Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration on November 2 at 2 p.m. at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande.

Explore Latin American culture and traditions with traditional stories, music and dance from Danza Azteca Tonantzin Arroyo Grande, Ballet Folklórico Corazón de la Costa, Ballet Folklórico de Sacramento, and Mariachi Mexicanismo.

Come early to see ofrendas alteres (offerings altars) and explore the free health and community resources fair that begins at 1 p.m. A Catrinas contest is planned for those who come dressed up with makeup.

This event benefits the work of the Promotores Collaborative of San Luis Obispo County, whose mission is to build, foster, and support a network of trained community health workers. A program of the Center for Family Strengthening, Promotores envisions sustainable, diverse, comprehensive and equal access to healthcare and services among all members of the community.
