Step into the style of the 1930s as history and fashion take the runway at The Monday Club on Saturday, October 4 for “Weekend on The Hilltop: A 1935 Fashion Experience.”

Garments from the Hearst Castle Living History Collection and rare private collection pieces will be showcased in two fashion shows presented by The Foundation at Hearst Castle and The Monday Club of San Luis Obispo.

A matinée show beginning at 11 a.m. features sparkling cocktails, fine wine, and petite brunch bites. An evening show beginning at 4 p.m. features specialty cocktails, fine wine, and elegant hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds from the event will benefit the conservation of two rare 17th century Peruvian tapestries at Hearst Castle and The Monday Club’s mission of historic preservation, philanthropy, and civic engagement.

“This event beautifully demonstrates how community, history, and philanthropy can come together to create lasting impact,” according to Doug Jenzen, executive director of the Foundation at Hearst Castle.

General admission tickets are $100 and available through the Foundation or The Monday Club.
