Jill Turnbow brings her storytelling skills to her one-woman show 17 Raccoons . . . or It’s a Really Long Story playing at Santa Maria Civic Theatre one weekend only August 22-24.
Zoe Saba directs Turnbow in sharing the intimate details of a two-year period when “the highlight was being diagnosed with cancer.” Turnbow manages to find the hilarious moments in family trauma and in learning to be specific about her life’s plans.
