Festival Mozaic’s bustling schedule this month includes a low-cost Notable Insight, film screenings, a family-friendly concert, free mini-concerts throughout SLO County, and free pre-concert lectures prior to its five chamber music performances.

July 22: Appalachian Spring Family Concert ($5 per person). Copland’s ballet with live dance and orchestra as well as an Instrument Petting Zoo sponsored by the SLO Symphony, at the Harold J. Miossi CPAC.

July 24: Stewart Goodyear Mini-Concert ($10 suggested donation). Solo piano recital by this year’s featured guest artist, at the Harold J. Miossi CPAC.

July 25: Eunice Kim & John Novacek Mini-Concert ($10 suggested donation) Violin and piano recital with works by Novacek, Schubert, and Prokofiev at Los Osos Trinity United Methodist Church.

July 25: Amadeus Film Screening ($10 per person). 1984 film classic presented in partnership with the SLO Film Festival at the Palm Theatre.

July 26: Alex Wasserman Mini-Concert ($10 suggested donation). Solo recital of piano works by Ravel and Babadjanyan at Cass Winery in Paso Robles.

July 27: Ko-ichiro Yamamoto Mini-Concert ($10 suggested donation). Works for trombone and piano by Molla, Mahler, Barfield, and Sulek at SLO United Methodist Church.

July 27: A Soldier’s Tale Notable Insight ($25 per person). Scott Yoo is the guide through Igor Stravinsky’s large-scale chamber work at the Harold J. Miossi CPAC.

July 28: Fei Xie Mini-Concert ($10 suggested donation). Works for bassoon and piano by Scott, Saint-Saens, Ravel and Torriani, at Cambria Community Presbyterian Church.

July 28: Tár Film Screening ($10 per person). OSCAR-winning film starring Cate Blanchett, presented in partnership with the SLO Film Festival at the Palm Theatre.
