USA Today has named the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival one of the 10 Best Film Festivals for 2025.
SLO came in at #6, behind Cinema Columbus (OH), Salute Your Shorts (LA), New Filmmakers (LA), Pittsburgh (PA) Shorts, and Out on Film (Atlanta, GA) festivals.
“Whether its focus is on an underrepresented group, specific genres or mediums, or just a celebration of film in all its many forms, each of these winning film festivals—nominated by our panel of experts and voted as the best by readers—is truly special,” according to the 10Best.USAToday website.
Rounding out the top ten are Hamptons (East Hampton, NY) International Film, Pan African Film and Arts (LA), American Black Film (Miami Beach, FL), and Sun Valley (Sun Valley, ID) festivals.
The SLO festival is noted on the website as offering “a unique blend of cinematic excellence and scenic charm,” and is known for “its dedication to diversity and inclusivity.”
