The Clark Center for the Performing Arts board of directors has announced the appointment of Ken Dalebout as interim executive director. He succeeds Dave Pier, who recently left the organization after serving as executive director since September 2022.
An Arroyo Grande resident whose career has included leadership roles at Dignity Health, Dalebout has served on several local nonprofit boards during the past 15 years. He will manage day-to-day operations while the Clark Center board conducts a national search for the organization’s next permanent executive director.
Dalebout currently serves as associate dean at A.T. Still University in San Luis Obispo, a position he will hold alongside his interim role at the Clark Center.
“Ken knows this community, and this community knows Ken,” according to Clark Center board president Jamie Maraviglia. “He brings steady leadership and a deep respect for what the Clark Center means to the people of the Central Coast.”
Dalebout says he is looking forward to working with the many organizations who depend on the Arroyo Grande venue. “The Clark Center is a cornerstone of culture for the Five Cities,” he said. “The team here is talented and committed, and the season ahead is a strong one.”
