“Small Talk” directed by Eduardo Moral is the U.S. selection
You have the chance to join a worldwide audience in selecting the best of ten short films in the MANHATTAN SHORT 2026 Film Festival coming to a library near you.
Screenings of the 29th annual festival selections are scheduled September 24 to October 3 at the following San Luis Obispo County Public Library locations:
- Thursday, September 24: San Luis Obispo 1-4 p.m.
- Friday, September 25: San Luis Obispo 5-8 p.m.
- Saturday, September 26: Atascadero 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Saturday, September 26: Nipomo 1:30-4:30 p.m.
- Thursday, October 1: Morro Bay 1:30-4:30 p.m.
- Saturday, October 3: Cambria 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The films come from ten countries, including the United States, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, United Kingdom, Moldova, Russia, Cuba, Georgia and Mexico.
The MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival screens its selections simultaneously across the world during a one-week period every year, with Best Film and Best Actor awards determined by ballots cast by the audiences in each participating venue. Each short film is automatically Oscar-qualified.
Winners are announced online on Monday, October 5, at 7 a.m. PST.
