The City of San Luis Obispo’s Public Art Program is partnering with the SLO County Arts Council and SLO County Poet Laureate Caleb Nichols to create a new walkable art route featuring poetry from local writers.
In celebration of National Poetry Month, the city has released a Poetry Walk request for proposals, inviting the community to help shape this new literary experience. The Poetry Walk route will begin near Triangle Park on Osos Street and guide participants through town with sidewalk poetry.
The city is inviting SLO County poets of all experience levels to submit their work for consideration. Deadline to submit is May 24.
