The ninth annual Cambria Film Festival opens on Wednesday, February 4 at the Cambria Center for the Arts with a tribute to movie composer Lalo Schifrin.
Orchestra Novo conductor Michael Nowak, who also works in Hollywood as a recording musician and conductor, will host a Q&A session following the screening of the 53-minute In the Tracks of Lalo Schifrin and Behind the Score, a 14-minute competition student film about Taurees Habib, the man behind some of Hollywood’s most iconic soundtracks.
The evening begins with a kick-off party and celebration of donors, special guests, and supporters including festival sponsors Jim & Elaine Levin Anderson.
The reception is sponsored by Pacific Coast Wine Trail with thanks to Cutruzzola Vineyards, Hearst Ranch Winery, and The Singing Kitchen.
Passes, film packs, and individual tickets are on sale now for the five-day festival.
