“Music for Generations,” with a special guest appearance from the Central Coast Youth Choir, will kick off the San Luis Obispo Vocal Arts Ensemble’s season with spring concerts designed to bring hope and joy to audiences of all ages.
Perfect for the whole family, three concerts are scheduled: May 2 at Trilogy Monarch Dunes in Nipomo, May 4 at the Cuesta Performing Arts Center, and May 5 at the First Presbyterian Church of San Luis Obispo.
Tickets are $30 ($10 for children ages 6-12). Parking is free at the Trilogy and Cuesta shows.
The concert series—sponsored by Joan G. Sargen—will be conducted by newly-appointed artistic director Melody Svennungsen in honor of Gary Lamprecht, founder and musical director of Vocal Arts Ensemble. It features a rousing selection of Lamprecht’s favorite songs, accompanied by Judy Robertson.
