From “Ella, El Agua”

Three short films highlighting the wonders of nature and the challenges of preserving it will be screened at the 2025 SLO International Film Festival on Sunday, April 29 at 4:30 p.m. at the SLO Film Center at the Palm Theatre.

The screening, suitable for all ages, is free for festival pass holders and on a pay-what-you-want basis for others. Proceeds benefit Ecologistics, a Los Osos-based nonprofit that collaborates with people and organizations around the world to create resilient and healthy communities.

Ella, El Agua, from Argentina, captures extraordinary scenes of everyday life beneath the sea. El Pulmo tells the story of a retired commercial fisherman who helped create the most successful marine park in the world. No One Is an Island is an animated film from the United Kingdom exploring whether it is possible for everyone to live a good life without damaging the environment.
