Blending essays and poetry, local author Carolyn Chilton Casas has released a new book chronicling her transformative journey into energy healing and its ripple effects throughout her life.
Unlocking Ordinary Wonders, subtitled “How Reiki and the Healing Arts Opened My Heart,” is an exploration of how literary and spiritual practices can expand awareness, purpose and connection.
“A stunning feature is how she integrates her own poetry to reflect the creative energy that flowed through her with a consistent Reiki practice,” according to City of Santa Barbara Poet Laureate Emerita Perie Longo.
Casas, a Reiki practitioner, has also published two volumes of poetry, Under the Same Sky and Our Shared Breath.
