A fresh and magical journey to Oz awaits as Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo presents Artistic Director Drew Silvaggio’s take on L. Frank Baum’s masterpiece The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Civic Ballet dancers will share the stage with an 11-piece jazz orchestra under the direction of Dave Becker, featuring vocalist Inga Swearingen and musician Damon Castillo along with a host of jazz luminaries from throughout the Central Coast.
Perfect for the entire family, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz features an all-new score based on some of the most influential music in the classic American songbook.
The 75-minute contemporary dance performance is scheduled for two performances at the Performing Arts Center SLO on the afternoons of May 16 and 17.
