The California Arts Council has announced it is holding several town hall meetings as part of the next phase for California’s creative economy: the Creative Economies in Action Statewide Engagement Tour.
Residents of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz and Ventura counties are invited to attend a town hall to be held at The Community Arts Workshop, 631 Garden Street in Santa Barbara, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4. Registration for the free event is available online.
For Central Coast residents who can’t attend the town hall in person, an online session is scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28.
The town halls are a chance to connect with leaders and peers across California’s creative sectors and to share perspectives on the newly released Creative Economy Workgroup Strategic Plan.
Input from the meetings will directly help shape the plan’s next steps—ensuring that community experiences and priorities are reflected in the state’s creative future.
