Join Festival Mozaic music director Scott Yoo, violist Maurycy Banaszek, cellist Alexander Hersh, and pianist Anna Polonsky for a chamber music concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 7 at Cuesta College’s Harold J. Miossi Cultural and Performing Arts Center.
The afternoon of music spans three centuries of extraordinary creativity, beginning with Anton Webern’s “Two Pieces for Cello and Piano”—his first compositions, completed at just 15 years old—followed by Beethoven’s six-movement “String Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 3” inspired by Mozart’s own trios.
The concert concludes with Dvořák’s “Piano Quartet No. 2,” a radiant, lyrical masterpiece written at the request of his publisher.
