Todd Andrew and Jade Jackson

Paso Robles guitarist, artist, and film and television composer Todd Andrew joins Jade Jackson‘s band onstage for two full-band, release-week local performances featuring her new album, Jadine.

Jackson, who hails from Santa Margarita, is scheduled at SLO Brew Rock in San Luis Obispo on October 17, and is opening for Dustin Lynch at Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles on October 18. Tickets for the SLO Brew Rock release show are on sale now.

Andrew says that while he and Jackson both come from the Central Coast, their differing musical backgrounds spark their collaboration. “There’s something special about bringing those influences together in a way that reflects where we come from,” Andrew says. “I love the music, and it’s inspiring to work with an artist who has such a strong creative vision and a clear sense of direction.”

Millions of sports and TV viewers have heard Andrew’s music, even if they don’t know his name. He wrote the theme for NBC’s Tokyo Olympics broadcast, the Honda Sports Desk Update on NBC, and themes for NBC’s “Football Night in America,” FOX Sports’ “First Things First,” “Lock It In,” and “Inside PBC,” Disney’s “Mighty Med,” and Peacock’s “Brother From Another.”

Andrew also wrote and performed the “Deadpool Rap,” featured in the 2016 film “Deadpool,” with his longtime YouTube duo Teamheadkick.

“I’ve played with a lot of unbelievable musicians, and Todd is no exception,” says Jackson. “He is such an amazing artist, and I can’t wait to be onstage with him!”

Jadine, out October 16, is Jackson’s most personal record to date. Released on her own label, Jackson Star Records, and distributed by The Table Entertainment Co. in partnership with TooLost, the album was co-produced by Jackson, Josh Wolfe, and Gabe Rabben and mixed by three-time Grammy winner Brandon Bell.

It features the focus track “Daddy Tried,” Jackson’s reimagining of Merle Haggard’s “Mama Tried” from a daughter’s perspective, made with the blessing of the Haggard estate.
