Surf Nite in SLO, the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival’s signature one-of-a-kind surfing film event, is screening three short surf films at the Fremont Theater on Friday, April 25.

Creatures of Habit journeys through the unpredictable and challenging conditions of cold-water surfing. Nø Way follows a group as they chase perfection and ponder their motivations in the Arctic.

The evening kicks off at 5 p.m. with a set by popular local band Riff Tide. Guests are encouraged to enjoy Firestone 805 beer and mingle in the Fremont Theater’s stunning art deco lobby prior to 7 p.m. introductory comments and the screenings.

With a slate of more than 100 films including narrative features, short films, documentary features, and doc shorts, SLOIFF is known for its dedication to diversity and inclusivity, highlighting both emerging and established filmmakers from around the globe. The festival runs from Thursday, April 24 through Tuesday, April 29.
