A new gallery brought to you by a time-honored institution is opening in Cambria’s historic West Village.
On November 1, Cambria Center for the Arts opens CCA West at 739 West Main Street, expanding CCA’s presence in the community. The more than 700 square feet of space will offer additional opportunities to showcase local and regional artists, to connect with art enthusiasts, and to host special programs, including a planned series of monthly art lectures.
The building, leased to CCA by a generous local donor, features dimmable LCD track lighting, a flexible display system using vertical rods, and a covered outdoor patio suitable for small displays. The center of the gallery can be configured for lectures and can accommodate an audience of up to 30 people.
CCA board member John Seed serves as the gallery’s director supported by a four-member advisory board: Patrick Dennis, Karen Franscioni, Tigg Morales and Erik Oksen.
Staffed entirely by volunteers, CCA West will welcome visitors Tuesday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Inaugural Exhibition Celebrates Central Coast Landscapes
The gallery’s opening exhibition features seven large works by Templeton landscape painter Bruce Everett, whose large-scale oil paintings capture the beauty of the Central Coast.
A longtime professor of art at Cal State Northridge, Everett is known for his expressive realism and deep connection to the environment. “My reasons for painting the landscape are first and foremost out of a deep emotional need to paint what moves me,” Everett says.
The exhibition also includes a rotating selection of landscape paintings by CCA member artists. All artwork is available for purchase, and the exhibition will remain on view through the end of December.
“First Wednesday” Series Launches November 4
CCA West launches the first of its “First Wednesday Art Talks” with Seed presenting “The Early Italian Renaissance (1200–1400).”
The presentation is scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m. on November 4.
Reservations, which are free for members and $10 for nonmembers, are recommended.
