You can help preserve and protect the more than 150 unique public art pieces in the City of San Luis Obispo during the next “Public Art Beautification Service Day” on June 13.
Local murals, mosaics, oil and watercolor paintings, utility box art, stained glass, sculptures, benches, bridge railings and other creative work bring color, story, and texture to life within the city, so if you love art and the outdoors, this four-hour volunteer opportunity is for you.
Volunteers looking to get outside, meet fellow service-minded neighbors, and learn about art and how to protect it meet with the public art coordinator Amanda Grieshop to learn about the artworks and how they are cleaned and protected.
