Cambria Center for the Arts presents Matty: An Evening with Christy Mathewson for one weekend only June 23-25.
Directed by Cambria resident Kerrigan Mahan, the one-man show is performed by baseball’s master historian and actor, Eddie Frierson. He plays the world-famous turn-of-the century New York Giants baseball pitcher Christy Mathewson as he talks baseball and life’s funny propositions (good and bad) with myriad characters from yesteryear.
This “tour de force, Americana, heralded Off-Broadway hit” is on NPR’s Top Ten list and was named a “must see” by legendary critic Clive Barnes.
Performances are scheduled Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m., and on Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25.
