For its 10th anniversary, Central Coast Gilbert & Sullivan is staging one of Gilbert and Sullivan’s most popular operas, The Mikado, for three performances June 16-18 at the Harold J. Miossi Cultural and Performing Arts Center at Cuesta College.

The Mikado tells the story of Ko-Ko, the Lord High Executioner of the town of Titi-Pu, and his comical dealings with Nanki-Poo, Yum-Yum, and a whole cast of characters comprised solely of local singers, actors and orchestral musicians.

Directed by the group’s founder, Marcy Irving, and conducted by Jennifer Martin, the production begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday June 16 and 17, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday June 18.
