Dave Pier is the new executive director at the Clark Center for the Performing Arts.
He replaces Connie O’Henley, who led the venue for 15 years. She completed her tenure this summer, and is moving to be closer to family in northern California.
Pier earned his MBA in arts management from UCLA, and for the last 25 years has managed regional performing arts centers in California. A musician with a background in technical theatre, he studied music composing and arranging at the Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, and also has worked as a research scientist in the private sector.
The new ED is no stranger to the Central Coast—his parents have resided in Los Osos for some 30 years.
