OperaSLO presents the region’s first grand production of a Disney musical in three performances on Mother’s Day weekend, May 11-12, at the Performing Arts Center SLO.
Disney’s Beauty & the Beast the Musical is perfect for all ages. The “tale as old as time” is complete with spectacular sets and costumes, ballet, chorus, and a nationally acclaimed leading cast, all accompanied by the full OperaSLO Grand Orchestra conducted by Brian Asher Alhadeff.
Directed by Zach Johnson, this stage adaptation is based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature and includes songs written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Menken and Tim Rice.
