This event was scheduled April 24, 2024.
Spokes, the local nonprofit that provides other nonprofit organizations with support and resources, is offering a free program to help arts organizations (among others) connect and collaborate.
In the spirit of unity, “Convene and Connect” was created to tap into the benefits of coordinated nonprofit collaboration––from leveraging resources and pursuing joint funding to increasing service impact and visibility.
As part of the program, an online “Fostering Common Purpose” roundtable for arts, culture and humanities organizations will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24. Attendance is free, but organizations must register in advance.
With financial support from the Shanbrom Family Foundation, Spokes also is offering roundtables serving other sectors (youth services, animal services, aging & disability services) and later this fall, a live symposium across all sectors.
The monthly, sector-specific roundtables are designed to encourage networking and problem-solving in a confidential space, and are facilitated by Theda Parker, MSW, whose background in social work has included work for local nonprofits and government organizations.
