The Monday Club’s Raising A Reader Committee and the SLO Food Bank are asking you to clean out your bookcases or buy a few new books to give to local children in need.
The organizations are collecting new and gently used English and Spanish books for infants through age 12, including board books and paperbacks.
Books can be dropped off at The Monday Club in SLO on the following Mondays between 2 and 5 p.m.: April 24, May 8, May 22, June 12, and June 26.
Donated books will be distributed at SLO Food Bank sites and through “Raising A Reader” events throughout San Luis Obispo County.
