Wildling Museum of Art & Nature in Solvang is hosting a free Winter Family Day on Sunday, February 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Family Day is held only twice a year, so don’t miss the chance to take the whole family and enjoy free museum admission to art and nature-inspired activities.

Included in the day’s events are hands-on art activities illuminated by Artist-in-Residence Kerrie Smith’s Portals & Pathways multisensory installation that features flowing banners printed with Smith’s vivid abstract paintings inspired by daily walks along Santa Barbara’s More Mesa. Interspersed are sheer banners featuring personal poetry hand-stamped with wooden blocks carved by Smith.

The Wildling Museum of Art & Nature offers visitors a unique perspective on the importance of preserving natural heritage. Through the eyes of artists and interpretive materials, guests can renew their relationship with nature and wilderness.
