Nearly 300 students perform at Cal Poly’s annual Bandfest on Friday, November 4 in Miossi Hall of the Performing Arts Center’s Christopher Cohan Center.
The concert features Cal Poly’s Wind Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and Mustang Band in an evening of works ranging from Stephen Montague’s “Intrada, 1631” to Gustav Holst’s Suite in E flat, to Giovanni Santos’ new work, “Chavez, 1927” that celebrates the life and work of civil rights activist and leader Cesar Chavez. The Mustang Band also will perform music by Lizzo and Green Day.
Tickets are $15 and $20 for the public and $10 for students.
