The Central Coast Arts Coalition is calling for submissions from local artists to help promote the Central Coast Creative Corps program, a regional collaboration to invest in artists across disciplines who partner with local organizations. Submission deadline is September 8.

Ten pieces of digital (non-video) artwork and graphics—to be used across multiple media channels, including web, email, social media, print, and merchandise—will be selected, and each will earn its creator $3,500 for a first-place entry or $1,500 for a second-place entry.

Artwork must address one of five themes as they pertain to the Central Coast:

  • Public health and healthy behaviors related to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Climate, water, and/or energy conservation
  • Civic engagement and/or election activities
  • Social justice/change
  • Hiring an artist

Selected artwork will be used collaboratively and individually by the six county partners of the Central Coast Arts Coalition, which includes San Luis Obispo, Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito,  Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties, as well as by the California Arts Council.
