The Early Bird registration rate for the 40th annual Central Coast Writers’ Conference at Cuesta College, scheduled October 5, expires July 31. It’s currently at $249, but beginning August 1 the rate increases to $299.

The conference promises access to bestselling fiction and nonfiction authors, sessions on editing, research and world-building, and discussions about historical and fan fiction, children’s literature, and the deeply personal art of memoir writing.

Speakers will deliver insight to aspiring writers and creatives on topics ranging from artificial intelligence to writing and selling a TV movie script.

Cartoonist Leigh Rubin will deliver the closing keynote on “The Art of Creativity.”
