The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County has published its 2023 Community Impact Report, detailing the effects of its programs and initiatives on the lives of people in the community in its 25th year of existence.

According to the Foundation, 10% of the $4.1 million awarded in grants and scholarships to 215 organizations and 83 students in 2023 went to arts & culture.

The largest chunk of Foundation assistance, 41%, went to support environmental, animal, and social justice causes, followed by health & human services (21%), scholarships (13%), and education (11%). The remaining 4% was designated for disaster relief.
