Whether you’re a die-hard house head or an indie rock fan, Shabang had something for everyone at its 11th annual music and arts festival May 2-3. The festival brought a vibrant mix of genres, energy, and community spirit to San Luis Obispo, marking another successful year.
This year’s lineup at Dairy Creek Golf Course featured standout performances from big names like Goth Babe and Odd Mob, along with dozens of emerging and local artists. With five dynamic stages, including a two-channel silent disco and the intimate Cuesta Ridge stage spotlighting local bands, there was never a dull moment.
Beyond the music, Shabang leaned into wellness and creativity with offerings like yoga sessions, kickboxing classes, juggling workshops, and dance lessons at the University Stage.
It wasn’t just a festival, it was an immersive experience.
The San Luis Obispo community showed up in full force once again with local vendors serving everything from dumplings to vintage fashion. At the same time, artists and festival-goers came together to celebrate creativity, connection, and the outdoors.
Among the local highlights was Margot Sinclair, returning to the Cuesta Ridge stage for the second year in a row. The indie rock band first earned their spot by winning last year’s Battle of the Bands, and their growing fan base was out in full support.
Shabang 2025 proved once again why it’s one of the Central Coast’s most anticipated events, uniting music lovers, creators, and community members for one unforgettable weekend.
