Using audio clips, music, and video, “This American Life” host Ira Glass shares lessons from his life and career in storytelling during a visit to Harold Miossi Hall at the Performing Arts Center SLO on April 5.

What inspires him to create? What drives his passion? How have failures and successes informed his decisions? In his presentation “Seven Things I’ve Learned,” Glass mixes stories live onstage giving insight into his creative process.

Glass is host and creator of the public radio program “This American Life,” heard each week by more than five million listeners on public radio stations and podcasts. It’s been on the air since 1995. It has won the highest honors for broadcasting and journalistic excellence, including seven Peabody awards and the first Pulitzer Prize ever awarded for audio journalism.

Tickets for the Cal Poly Arts event are available online.
