Civic Ballet of SLO brings a completely new adaptation of “America’s greatest and best-loved home-grown fairy tale,” L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, to Harold Miossi Hall at the Performing Arts Center SLO for two performances only April 18-19.

Artistic Director Drew Silvaggio has returned to the original Baum text to bring the full scope and character of this award-winning story to the stage. The all-new score is based on some of the most influential music in the classic American songbook.

This world premiere 80-minute adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s masterpiece features a live 11-piece jazz orchestra with Inga Swearingen, Damon Castillo, Dave Becker and other jazz luminaries from throughout the Central Coast.

Tickets are available online.
