Finding time and space to achieve a state of creative flow is crucial for artists. A free live podcast event with local musician Brook Munro explores the delicate balance between the demands of daily life and the need for uninterrupted creative time.

Finding Time & Space to Flow” is scheduled Friday, November 22 at Office Hours in San Luis Obispo. It delves into the importance of creating an environment and routine that fosters deep focus and artistic expression.

Munro will discuss the psychological aspects of entering a flow state, where time seems to disappear and the creative process becomes effortless and deeply rewarding. By gaining insight from Munro’s personal experiences and strategies, the session aims to provide practical advice for other creatives struggling to find their own flow in a world full of distractions.

Munro is a musician and film score composer based in San Luis Obispo. He spoke at this year’s Central Coast Writers’ Conference at Cuesta College, and his presentation spawned the idea for “SLO County Creatives,” a new community for creatives to come together, connect, share, and grow.

“Finding Time & Space to Flow” is a free event, but registration is required.
