The most serious, and perhaps most beautiful, of the Gilbert and Sullivan operas comes to the Central Coast for two performances only Father’s Day weekend, June 15-16.
Central Coast Gilbert and Sullivan presents the duo’s masterpiece, The Yeomen of the Guard, written in 1888 and set during the reign of Henry VIII, at the Harold J. Miossi Cultural and Performing Arts Center at Cuesta College.
Directed by Marcy Irving and accompanied by a live orchestra, the production is filled with “witty jesters, funny jailers, and saucy maidens.”
