Four sensational productions promise a variety of theatrical experiences this summer as PCPA’s Summer Season 60 begins.

Little Shop of Horrors, which has already played the Marian Theatre in Santa Maria, kicks off the summer June 13-July 7 at Solvang Festival Theater, setting the stage for The Play That Goes Wrong June 27-30 in Santa Maria and July 12-28 in Solvang. Cabaret hits the Marian Theatre stage July 18-27, moving to Solvang August 2-25, with The Agitators closing the season August 22-25 at the Marian Theatre and August 29-September 8 at Solvang Festival Theater.

A musical sci-fi homage to B-movies, Little Shop of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatergoers for more than 30 years.

Award-winning comedy The Play That Goes Wrong is a hilarious depiction of a theatre company attempting to put on a 1920s murder mystery, with everything that can go wrong, well, going wrong.

Set in Berlin as the 1920s end and as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich, the musical masterpiece Cabaret resonates with fresh urgency today.

Mat Smart’s historical play of rebellion and revolution The Agitators presents young abolitionists Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony as they form an unexpected friendship.
