The Basin Street Regulars’ Hot Jazz Club presents Ginger & the Hoosier Daddys plus the Decomposing Brass Quintet Sunday afternoon, June 30 at the Pismo Beach Veteran’s Memorial Building.

Ginger & The Hoosier Daddys is an early-jazz-to-swing band lead by Ginger Pauley. Performing jazz standards, the Great American Songbook, and some rarely heard vocals created just for them, the group has been together since 2009. Band members include Bob Selvin on piano, Michael Velasquez on bass, CJ Sams on trumpet, John Cheas on sax/clarinet, Kevin Wiley on drums, Todd Temanson on banjo, and Paul Ingle on trombone.

The Decomposing Brass Quintet

Local favorite the Decomposing Brass Quintet performs great jazz standards, pop, Broadway, and movie themes.

Admission is just $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Food and beverages, as well as a big wooden dance floor, are available. A jam session starts at 11 a.m. for jammers who want to bring their own instruments and join in.

Funds from this event supports jazz camp scholarships for area teens and young adults.
