Hanson’s overture and love duet from “Merry Mount Suite,” Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Pineapple Poll,” Giroux’s “One Beautiful Life,” and more are on the program for the San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra’s May 19 concert “Notes of Triumph.”

Under the direction of Maestro Jennifer Martin at Cuesta College’s Harold J. Miossi Cultural and Performing Arts Center, the concert at 3 p.m. features a special performance by Shannon McNeely on the bass clarinet.

“We are thrilled to present this exciting program of triumphant music to our community,” Martin said. “Each piece has been carefully chosen to showcase the incredible talent of our musicians and bring joy to our audience.”

Since its establishment in 1999, the San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra has been captivating audiences with its exceptional performances and dedication to the art of music. Composed of talented local musicians, the ensemble invites individuals of all ages and backgrounds to experience the power of live wind music throughout the year.
