This production was scheduled May 5-14, 2023.
The Cuesta Drama program presents an adventurous and heartfelt story appropriate for all ages about flying superheroes, poetry, and friendship on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays May 5 through 14.
Flora & Ulysses is based on the book by Kate DiCamillo and was adapted for the stage by John Glore. It portrays an imaginative 10-year-old, Flora Belle Buckman, who is in for a surprise when she witnesses an incident involving a self-propelled vacuum and a squirrel. The show is directed by Brandon Pascal, an LA-based actor and educator, Templeton native, and Cuesta alum who earned an MFA from the University of Washington Professional Actor Training Program in 2020.
Friday shows are at 7 p.m., Saturday shows are at 2 and 7 p.m., and Sunday shows are at 2 p.m., in the Experimental Theater at the Harold J. Miossi Cultural and Performing Arts Center at Cuesta College.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. “Buddy Bundles,” a discounted pack of four tickets (for either two adults and two youths, or one adult and three youths), are available for this production at $40. To purchase a Buddy Bundle and save $14, select four Buddy tickets and use code BUDDY when checking out.
