Keegan Michael Riojas, a tenor who made his OperaSLO debut in the leading role of Billy Bigelow in its recent production of Carousel, is featured in the second episode of “Arts Safari,” an educational series from the SLO County Office of Education.
Keegan is the focus of “The Leading Man,” a 29-minute video that showcases his education and background, and what led to his musical career. A Texas native, Keegan enjoys a vibrant acting and singing career in Los Angeles.
The series “Arts Safari” spotlights successful artists living on the Central Coast and enjoying successful careers in live performing arts. It is designed to inspire students to consider careers in the arts, and are shared with more than 30,000 public school students, teachers, parents, and administrators, and shown on SLOCOE’s two cable TV channels.
